School of Mathematics former PhD student Alex Grigo
is a recipient of the 2010 Sigma-Xi Best PhD thesis Award.
Alex defended his thesis, "Billiards and Statistical Mechanics",
in April 2009, advisor
Leonid Bunimovich.
Since July 2009, Alex has been a postdoctoral fellow at the
Fields Institute in Toronto, Canada.
