This course provides students with a broad exposure to areas of mathematics research through weekly speakers.

Prerequisites: 

MATH 2551, MATH 2550, MATH 2552, MATH 2401, or MATH 2411

Topic Outline: 

In this weekly seminar, the speaker will describe research in a particular field of mathematics or a research project he/she has explored.  In addition to faculty members, speakers may include graduate and undergraduate students who may talk about their work in the Summer REU programs (Research Experience for Undergraduates) and other work. Students will submit short reports relevant to the presentations.
