Area of Research Approximation Theory

Current research interests:
  • Orthogonal Polynomials (especially their quantitative behaviour for exponential weights) with applications to approximation theory, numerical analysis, harmonic analysis;
  • Rational approximation (especially Pade approximation);
  • Inequalities, especially involving potential theory and/or complex analysis.
  • Numerical Integration;
  • q series (especially in the singular case that q is on the unit circle) and also their applications in irrationality and transcendence theory.
  • Bernstein constants in polynomial approximation
  • Eigenvalues and singular values of Hankel matrices
