Research Description
I am interested in developing more efficient numerical methods for solving
differential equations and related scientific and engineering problems. I have been
working on a rational spectral method for computing connecting orbits, error analysis for
moving mesh finite element methods, conservative front tracking, BFECC and its application
in fluid simulations and graphics, central scheme and central discontinuous Galerkin method
on overlapping cells for solving conservation laws, hierarchical reconstruction method
for eliminating spurious oscillations of numerical solutions of conservation laws and
associated equations, etc.
