Computer Assigments

These sample computer projects are not to be turned in, but if you work them you'll get a brief introduction to Maple, and you'll see what to expect on the two projects that are required for this course. Like the sample projects, each project will consist of an introduction to some Maple commands, some applications, and some more difficult problems for you to solve. The sample projects, particularly their first few sections, will give you a head start on using Maple. Note that the second and third samples are the projects actually assigned in my Fall 2001 Math 1501 class. In these cases I have posted only partial solutions.
