Postdoctoral Position with Interdisciplinary RNA Research Group School of Mathematics, School of Biology, College of Computing Georgia Institute of Technology A postdoctoral position is available with an interdisciplinary RNA research group under the direction of Dr. Christine Heitsch (Mathematics), Dr. Steve Harvey (Biology), and Dr. David Bader (Computing). The postdoc will lead efforts to develop new combinatorial approaches and innovative computational methods in RNA structural biology, with particular emphasis on the analysis, prediction, and design of RNA secondary structures. The position, starting August 2008 or earlier, is NIH-supported and will be based in the mathematics, computer science, or biology department as appropriate. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal up to three years subject to satisfactory progress and mutual agreement. Requirements include: (1) PhD in mathematics, computer science, biology, physics, or other related fields; (2) Demonstrated research excellence in your area of expertise; (3) Strong oral and written communication skills.
