Research

I am a graduate student in the Georgia Tech School of Math, working under Jean Bellissard. My thesis research involves ergodic properties of aperiodic tiling spaces, in particular the relationships between ergodicity, entropy, and homology. My work is a component of Professor Bellissard's program on the Noncommutative Geometry of Aperiodic Tiling Solids.

I received my B.S. in Chemistry from the College of William & Mary in 1997. After that I worked in the educational technology department of a preK-12 private school in Washington, DC, until I decided to study math and moved to Atlanta. In addition to my research and teaching duties, I have served for two years (2006-2008) as the student representative on the GT School of Math graduate committee, and I currently organize the "Research Horizons" graduate student seminar.
