Non-Professional Activities
- Volleyball:
I play volleyball once every week, and enjoy being part of the
A-STAR team.
-
Playing Cards:
I never pass on a good game of cards. Although bridge is out of my
expertise, I do enjoy other kinds of card games as long as they
require skills and provide opportunities for socialization. I cannot stand games
that require no brains. My favorite games are all rather Chinese:
Hearts (Chinese version), Three Firsts, and Stepping Up.
-
Cultural Events:
I like to attend and organize cultural events, such as the Atlanta
Chinese Cultural Salon.
-
Humor:
I enjoy good humor more than anything else. I like to be around people who have
good sense of humor. I once wrote jokes for Jay Leno of the NBC Tonight
Show as a freelancer, and have jokes accepted by Jay. Deep in my heart
I consider this the greatest achievement of my life.
-
Model Planes:
I have always been fascinated by planes, so not surprisingly I enjoy making
plane models. Currently I'm mostly into scale models of real planes,
in particular planes from the Korean War era. I would like to build a
radio controlled flying model some day.
-
Other Hobbies:
Pool, card tricks, origami, dinosaurs, mathematical puzzles.
